Jill Sobule and I had been emailing back and forth for a while before we managed to find a time to shot this episode so I felt like I already new her when we met. She is a lovely women and was very welcoming and enthusiastic about doing a session for the Voice Project. There are usually some connections between the artists that we shoot because of our cover chains but the more I shoot and meet these musicians the more I find that some many of them are connected in doing great work for many different organizations and using music to make a difference. Jill had recently done a performance with Wayne Kramer for Jail Guitar Doors which was founded by Wayne, Billy Bragg and Joe Strummer. The organization provides musical equipment used to rehabilitate inmates serving time. Music is a powerful tool to help change the lives of many people in the world not only for those who have been victims but for those who have committed crimes and are willing to change their lives for the better. This was a fun shoot on a lovely sunny Los Angeles day and I thank Jill, Mike, Chris and Joe for being a part of the project. — Anna
