On the morning of March 6, 2014 Pussy Riot members Nadya Tolokonnikova and Masha Alyokhina, along with Peter Verzilov and members of their prisoners rights NGO Zona Prava (Zone of the Rights) arrived in the city of Nizhny Novgorod to inspect a local prison. At 7:20 am an organized group barged into the McDonalds where members of Pussy Riot with their crew were having breakfast and attacked them with pepper spray and green disinfectant.
