I first met Paddy in a pub on Westborne Grove and the first time we went to see them play after we were running terribly behind and got there just exactly in time to watch them pack up there instruments. We kept talking about the project though and on this sunny winter’s day I caught the train for a little trip an hour north of London. The boys were nice enough to pick me up from the station and take me back their rehearsal space nestled in the beautiful Wheathampstead countryside…a cup of tea and we were good to go. Later, on the train ride home I had the song humming quietly in my head while the country rolled by, and the line “all my violence is gone” like a calming whisper. — AG
