We posted a picture the other day on social media that ended up being quite popular. It said, “ART CHANGES PEOPLE AND PEOPLE CHANGE THE WORLD.” It’s hard to think of better example today than Maya Angelou, and for so many of us in particular, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings. How she touched so many of us, how she taught so many empathy with eloquence at a young age, and how so many took that youthful lesson into the world will never be fully accounted or quantified. But her art, and those she changed, have changed the world.
