The good folks at LACOSTE sponsored us to come to Coachella this year and film some of the acts playing there. Coachella always has a bit of a surreal feel to it, so many people converging in the desert two hours from LA, and this year the number was over 100,000. We created a make shift studio at the house they had rented and one of the first to offer to come by and record a song were the guys from Steel Train. They’ve been big supporters of the project so it worked out great
that we were able to catch up with them out there. As always, they brought a spirit and an energy with them that were good reminders of how positive and joyous a thing music can be. Watching the guys mess with the song and work out the different parts, there was the sense of how much they love what they do, what they do together and how they feed of each other, and it’s a contagious thing…
